How to Draw a Lollipop: Easy Lollipop Drawing for Kids
How to draw a lollipop in 5 easy steps
If you are looking for the easiest lollipop drawing for kids, this is it: one big circle, one swirl, one stick and a tiny bow. Five simple lines, and the candy shop is open.
Follow the five steps below on paper, or tap "Draw it live" and DrawAlong will guide each line on screen, checking every stroke as you go.
How to draw a lollipop, step by step
1Draw the big round candy
Start with the biggest shape: one big round circle in the middle of your page. That is the candy.
2Start at the bottom of the candy and swirl round and round into the middle
Now the sweet part. Start at the very bottom of the circle and spiral inward, round and round, about two and a half loops, ending in the middle.
3Draw the stick going straight down from the candy
Draw the stick: a thin rectangle with a rounded end, going straight down from the bottom of the candy.
4Add the left loop of the bow on the stick
Add the left half of the bow: a little triangle loop that touches the stick.
5Add the right loop of the bow
Add the right half of the bow to match. Your lollipop is ready to lick!
Time to color!
Classic candy look: a pink candy, a cream stick and a sky blue bow. The swirl line stays dark, so the pink really pops around it.
In the live version, coloring is tap-to-fill: pick a color, tap a part, done.
Frequently asked questions
- Is a lollipop drawing good for young kids?
- Yes, it is one of the easiest drawings in the app. It is just a circle, a spiral, a stick and a bow, so kids as young as 4 can finish it and feel proud.
- What if the swirl comes out wobbly?
- Wobbly swirls are the best swirls. DrawAlong checks each line gently, so a bumpy spiral still counts, and on real candy the swirl is never perfect either.
- What do we need to draw it?
- Nothing extra. The guided version runs right in the browser with a finger or stylus. On paper, a pencil and three crayons will do.
